What are Skin Boosters (5 point Facelift)

Skin Boosters are also known as the five point facelift used to moisturise, plum skin, tighten skin and produce a dewy glow. They are a soft gel-like substance called HYALURONIC ACID (HA) which is found naturally in the skin and holds a mass amount of moisture. However as we age this natural substance depletes with many factors such as, age, genetics, smoking, sun damage and environmental factors which makes our skin dry and dehydrated. They are basically deep skin hydration – an injectable moisturiser.

Microinjections of HA restores the moisture in the skin resulting in improved elasticity, firmness and radiance – making our skin look firmer, younger and glowy.

Skin boosters can be beneficial for people of all ages and skin types. They often are a good option for people looking to improve skin texture and quality or those who may be experiencing the signs of aging but aren’t ready for other treatments. There is also soe evidence that skin boosters assist in the treatment of acne and rosacea. After Care

As with many cosmetic procedures after care is very important to achieve the best results. You may experience redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising which should settle after a few days – you can use pain relief such as paracetamol but we do not advise anti-inflammatory medications for at least 24 hours. Try not to sleep on your back the first night, try and avoid makeup, avoid heat induced activities like strenuous exercise, saunas or steam rooms, avoid alcohol for 24 hours, try and not touch face other than gentle cleansing to prevent infection.
