Hello, I’m Debbie. Most people know me as a highland midwife here on the beautiful Isle of Bute. I have lived here for around 7 years and absolutely love island life and love my job. I am also a wife, mother, sister, aunt and recently a nanny.
Anyone who knows me knows I have had an interest in aesthetics for many years and have always planned on venturing into this field. I have finally done it!! What a journey it has been.

My Approach
My approach to your care will be in depth and thorough. Part of my role as a midwife is caring for women both physically and emotionally. As an advanced aesthetic practitioner I have a fundamental duty of care to protect my clients in this role too. Being a registered professional, my aim is to provide ethical, safe, effective and person centred care to each client. Working with peoples body’s and faces comes with a huge responsibility, which I take very seriously.
As much as I love our wee island I do think there are occasionally drawbacks such as accessing professional advanced cosmetic procedures here on the island. I aim to offer many services for clients, from basic to advanced cosmetic procedures to help clients feel their best.
As an advanced aesthetic practitioner my approach will be less is more. It is often seen on social media horror stories of treatments gone wrong because of using too much product or having a poorly skilled practitioner. My consultations and reviews will be free of charge and we have time to discuss desired results and potential but realistic outcomes. If you require a few little tweaks at your review then that is what we will do, included in your treatment cost.
Part of our consultation, treatment and aftercare includes mental health screening. Aesthetic treatments are very personal and often clients will have spent a long time deciding to go ahead with any treatments. Therefore, I provide mental health screening prior to any treatments and resources available for use for anyone who might need them. If I do not feel a client is suitable or if I refuse a treatment I can refer clients onwards for additional support and advice as part of my duty of care.
I am looking to open the first dedicated aesthetic clinic on our beautiful Isle in the coming months which will be registered with Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) This is often a lengthy process but enables clients to feel safe in knowing the premises and I are regulated and have strict standards to adhere to.
I look forward to meeting you all.
